Candidate Eligibility for School Board Trustee

Residence – 1 year in state and 6 months in school district prior to filing deadline. (Texas Elec. Code, Section 141.001)
Age – 18 years old
Must be a registered voter in territory elected from by the filing deadline.
A person is ineligible to serve as a member of the board of a district if the person has been convicted of a felony or an offense under Penal Code 43.021 (Ed. Code 11.066)
 

Application Process/Deadline

Candidate filing period to file application for place on the ballot is January 15, 2025 to February 14, 2025. 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (Tuesday – Friday)
All applications filed are public records and open to inspection upon request.
Complete forms must be filed in the Administration Building at 1206 N 17th St., Honey Grove, Tx 75446.
