Mayberry Family Donates Funds for Turf Field

Kevin and Jessica Mayberry have generously entered a resolution with Honey Grove ISD to donate $750,000 to help provide a new turf football field at Warrior Stadium. Mr. and Mrs. Mayberry presented Superintendent Todd Morrison and the school board with a check for $300,000 on Wed., Feb. 20, 2019. The remaining donations will come over the next two years.

After listening to a couple of presentations from different companies, the board agreed to hire a company by the name of Hellas that will start on the project immediately. The total cost of the project will be around $950,000. The Mayberry’s donation, of course, will cover approximately 80 percent of the cost.
